Our mission is to develop the community of Les Sources in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.

SADC adheres to the SD goals for development: development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (Brundtland Commission, 1987). More specifically, the SADC adheres to the SD objectives to make communities in the Sources region more :

VIABLE; i.e. economically efficient: Genuinely improve people's living conditions. Develop and support businesses. Stimulate the development of jobs and economic activities. Capitalize on the community's particular strengths and resources.

EQUITABLE; i.e. socially equitable: Improve the supply and sustainability of socio-community, tourism and cultural services. Promote access to services (health, education, advocacy, security, proximity). Safeguard and stimulate the community's creative potential and know-how. Improve the cultural context in favor of sustainable development. Stimulate the participation of all civil society players in decision-making processes.

VIVABLE; i.e. ecologically sustainable: Have a supportive environment (believe in it and commit to it). Protect the environment (sound management of natural resources). Ensure a sustainable demographic dynamic.

The deployment of this mission consists of :

  • Stimulate community participation by enhancing its ability to take charge of its own future.
  • Stimulate the overall development of the area served.
  • Contribute to the development of a vision for the community's future through the elaboration, implementation and monitoring of a strategic development plan: the local Agenda 21 des Sources (2014-2025), which adheres to the 17 sustainable development goals decreed by the UN.
