What is a Local Agenda 21?
A local Agenda 21 is a territorial sustainable development project, led by a local authority, and taking the form of a program of actions (program of actions for the 21st century). It is a global approach with the collective ambition of making sustainable development the new development model for the territory.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: The "official" definition of sustainable development was first set out in the 1987 Bruntland Report: "sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".
